I have done some frugal projects around the house! They were really fun and cost pennies. My favorite!
With the kids help I painted this book shelf. I made this paint from a couple gallons I had on had. I think it really brightened up this corner.
This is a shelf in our bedroom that stores my fabric, scarves, purses, and Moses' clothes. It's all in baskets but can still look untidy. I made this curtain from a tablecloth I bought for $.50 and I already had the rod.
I painted the back door (and the front door) with the same paint as the shelf. I made this curtain from a different tablecloth that also cost $.50! The curtain rod it made from a branch we found. You can a lot with branches. :) **Felicity helped paint the front door, thanks girl!! **
I made this planter from an empty coconut oil container. I sewed the cover with fabric I had on hand. I also already owned the plant. :)
I love little nesting projects like these! Using what I have and making do can be a lot of fun, it's like a challenge.

I don’t know how you do it, but, walking into your home is like getting a hug. So many special touches throughout.

Thanks Marisha!
DeleteLove the branch as curtain rod! The pale green bookshelf and door are nice and cheery colors. The quilt atop the bookshelf is pretty, white and red-orange...did you make that?
